Hello everyone I am interested in positions in PTP for senior positions like TL or senior accountant/lead etc. I want to apply but looking at the reviews here, now I am not sure about it. Wanted to ask for recent employees, how is the PTP department now? How do you feel? What about the yearly salary raises and bonuses, how do they work now as I see company`s financial results are bad. Appreciate any up-to-date feedback
I left this company and this department some time ago and now I know it was the best decision ever. Managers are really good in promises and bluffing. Treating people like machines but pretending to treat them as friends and family. Once you made a mistake or decided to put in your resignation, they will spread to the whole company that you were stupid, not worth to work there and "the team is stronger without you" (quotation). Salary raises and bonuses is a lottery, you can receive nothing, you can receive 13th salary which comparing to other companies is not very high. PTP TLs often works long hours, being proud to work during weekends, eat lunch at 5pm and drinking 4 coffees instead of breakfast. Huge rotation in PTP dept - only machines can stay here longer.
This is a spot-on description, management has truly mastered the tactic of dodging the blame and presenting you as the problem child once they sniffed out that you're miserable there, as if it's your fault. As for the PTP TL's I can confirm too, I myself have met people there who *bragged* about working ridiculously long hours, not having the time to even go get a glass of water, or surviving on a dozen energy drinks (not exaggerating here). It's a sad sad place, not worth anyone's time
I just want to warn anyone who's thinking about applying to this company. Don't do it. Your live and your health is much more important. The whole GBS seems to be run by children. No knowledge at all. If the things go south you're the one to be blamed. I've worked in several companies before and non of them is perfect. But IAG GBS is a total chaos called here 'dynamic'. No auto criticism, no strategy, no structure, no procedures. Believe me. Stay away from this madness.
I strongly advise AGAINST joining PtP at IAG GBS, especially a certain team that is widely infamous for its horrible working conditions. I can confirm that it’s just as bad as the earlier opinions describe on here, if not worse. There are many reasons for the high turnover rate, here are some of them: - You will be verbally abused and yelled at by the overlords at the OpCo. Management pretends to be concerned and makes empty promises, but ends up taking no meaningful action to counter the harassment – in fact they seem more than willing to sacrifice their employees' wellbeing to please the OpCo. Keep in mind this is not a new situation – on the contrary, they’ve had literal years to deal with it as the issue has been raised multiple times by multiple employees, so at this point it couldn't be more clear where IAG GBS’s priorities are. Their advice to you is, *and I quote*, "just ignore it" (!). It can get quite vindictive too, once word gets out that you're unhappy you will immediately be targeted. - You will receive completely contradictory instructions. You will be asked to "follow the process" and then, in the same breath, demanded to do something which requires throwing "the process" out the window. Mind you, your decision will be held against you either way. You will be constantly confused about whether there is an actual process in place – let me tell you, most of the time there isn’t, because either no one bothered to set it up in the first place, or the OpCo keeps changing their mind as they please, and then has the audacity to claim you misunderstood something that had been agreed upon by both parties. - You will have to put out fire after fire, and there will be complaints that you’re not putting them out fast enough no matter the result. It doesn’t help that organization is basically nonexistent – communication is not only extremely unprofessional in nature, but also completely chaotic and unclear. Higher-ups make mistakes because of this and the constant panicky atmosphere that they instill, and you'll be the go-to scapegoat to blame when it inevitably happens. Priorities are ridiculously misplaced, really the word "prioritizing" doesn't exist in IAG GBS's dictionary - it feels like they skipped that section during their management training, so it makes you wonder how qualified they are. The whole operation looks like a school project run by 16 year olds and started the night before the due date – although to be frank even highschoolers have a better sense of streamlined communication and organizational tools. There’s actually more similarities now that I think about it, because calls feel less like professional workplace meetings and more like being told off by a teacher who gets their kicks out of humiliating students. - You will receive little to no guidance. Knowledge transfer isn’t done properly, and demands&wishes are so unpredictable that you can’t really rely on the few things that you do end up learning. You quickly find out that you're not supposed to ask questions either – most of the time there isn’t anyone you can ask, and if you somehow finally get ahold of someone, you will be belittled and yelled at. (And no, they won’t even bother to clarify your doubts, so after all the drama you’re back to square one.) At this point it’s not even passive-aggressive, it’s purely just aggressive. At the end of the day you’re left to figure everything out on your own. You will be treated like a toddler who had the misfortune of being born to frustrated, resentful parents with no anger management skills. Moreover, if you have any ideas for improvement (which there’s *a lot* of room for) – get ready to quickly abandon them, because you will never be listened to. - You will be guilt tripped into working crazy overtime every single week. (Not surprising since urgent requests just keep piling up and there’s not one clear procedure to be found.) It’s the usual tricks you see in companies like this one – officially management assures you that you’re free to leave after 8 hours, but if you actually do, suddenly you’re "not being supportive". Sadly there’s people who incomprehensibly pride themselves on working really dodgy (if not straight up illegal) amounts of overtime, and all they get rewarded with is more work. The team can’t keep up as is, but more and more tasks get dumped on you, because leadership is weak, does the opposite of their role and makes the team easy to take advantage of - all they're is capable of doing is bowing down to the sacred OpCo and apologizing. I can say with confidence IAG GBS is the worst work environment I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing, and unless you're curious to experience it too, I'd recommend to stay away. "Stressful" doesn’t even begin to describe it. This company will drain you of all energy, and it’s definitely not worth the pay they’ll offer you. Do yourself a favor and find a serious company that treats its employees with dignity and respect.
Jakie zarobki jako IT PM?
Chyba 5 minut w toalecie nikogo by nie zbawiło?
Spychologia w najgorszym wydaniu. Druga rzecz to fatalna kultura i organizacja pracy.
Ta firma to wydmuszka.
A macie zapewniony sprzęt do pracy zdalnej?
W Twoim przypadku brak follow upu powinien być powodem do radości, uwierz mi :) Ludzie, którzy stamtąd odchodzą, czują ulgę i wolność.
Jakie narzędzia pracy zapewnia IAG GBS POLAND Sp. z o.o.?
Chcesz nazwiska i dowody?
Jeszcze warto by bylo wprowadzic szkolenia z dawania feedback i zwiazek zawodowy by sie przydal w IAG. Ja odchodzac z firmy bylam na skraju zalamania nerwowego.
Potwierdzam - kilka lat zajęło mi aby to napisać.Atmosfera była wstrętna, ale... karma wraca.
I don`t recommend working in this company, especially PtP department. HR Team is very unprofessional - while "working" from the office they spent most of time in the kitchen being very loud and using vulgarisms which I think is not appropriate for a team who should be a representative face of the company. It happened many times that higher level employees were discussing and criticizing somebody`s political and religious beliefs on an open space which is not a good time and a good place to do so. Personally, I felt discriminated listening to that even if it was not directed to me. I had an impression that a manager uses manipulations and psychological tricks: to make people work as much as they can and still feel not enough for a specific position or salary, another example is to make people guilty if not work during sick leave. Those, who work extra hours and are available 24/7 even during the annual leave are appreciated, whereas those who work "only" 8 hours per day are kind of worse sort of people who does not deserve salary review or promotion despite good results. Let`s imagine how the situation inside company is if some people decided to leave it without having any other job offer outside... For whom being without stable job was a better option than working there. And I know there was at least two people from one team last year like this. Extremely huge number of overtime - some people have even hundreds(!) hours of overtime to be picked up, not always tracked in official timesheet, whereas there is always no time to pick them up, but on the other side - management is pushing. So the "best" idea (and some people practices that) is to claim in the timesheet you picked up your overtime, but in reality you work, as probably no one else will do your job if it is not extremely urgent. To sum up - if you are a single without hobbies and private life, you are happy to work long hours and don`t pay attention to your mental and physical health - that can be job for you. Otherwise, don`t waste your time, health and life and just don`t go there.
I reported this website to the founder of the IAG GBS in the Great Britain. I will also report to the Państwowa Inspekcja Pracy in Krakow to have a look at the treatment of employees at this company. I do recommend the existing employees to form a w working union, so the teams or positions cannot be simply cut through the Performance Improvement Plan withoout compensation. Do belive me British Management cares more since they got working union and an equal treatment policies plus (usunięte przez administratora) prevenion, so I would recommend to report any abuses to the British Management.
It is good to hear that P2P has improved and managers carefully think what they say to people at One to One. I left P2P 5 years ago and I was running the contract leakage project. I was already the third person doing this project. I was also backing up P2P roles for British Airways and Iberia due to the sick leaves. What I saw there was a high rotation of staff, inadequate trainings and the Head of the Team at that time was often talking negatively about other employees. I think that is is good that this platform exists so the company can improve in terms of the treatment of its employees. According to your reviews it has already improved, which is great. It is like the opposition party who watches the abuses of those governing the country. At my One to One I was locked for an hour and told that no one liked me and I was taken to the team because my Head was forced to. According to the Head I failed Spanish exams, which was a lie as I passed with flying colors. I was also told that my project emails land in spam once another manager received them. I left crying and also left the company at that time. I will always consider this experience as the biggest abuse in my professional life. Unfortunately I heard about many people being mistreated at One to Ones who left IAG. If the company improved since that time I am happy for all the people working there or intending to work at IAG GBS as airlines industry is very interesting. It is important that the HR Department takes care of any reports of the abusive behavior and do not pretend that nothing has happened.
hi, unlike other reviews I have seen here, in my opinion the experience was very dull. I worked in p2p and basically all everybody did was reply supplier emails and do the work the the indians did not want to do, like invoice processing. In the interview I was told we would do improvements, automations etc, but I saw nothing like that, we just did whatever the british told our manager to do, and they were not very smart and when things didnt work they just blamed everybody else. If you are not very ambitious and would like to feel what is like to work in india but with a polish salary, it's a good place, but I found it boring. If you want to use your brain and do interesting stuff, there are better teams, the company is not as bad as people say. I left instead of changing the team because as soon as you say you are leaving the manager starts talking bad about you at your back (maybe he thinks people dont notice), like you are the problem instead of him, so a bit toxic in that sense. But the colleagues were nice, in general, except for manager and some other that thought that they were doing super important things when they were just overpaid indians (no disrespect for the indians, they were quite nice, they just took all the blame for everything) multikafeteria is quite good, I miss that the most
Witam. None from PtP team is working over the weekend and none is asking to do that, Team is amazing and working all together with an entusiastic cooperation and support.
I doubt you were in PTP at all. No one ever asked me to work over the weekend and all my overtime was paid or took some days off. What you are saying is simply not true.
why is the original review deleted? if the ptp manager can just delete reviews then whats the point of the website. I do not recommend ptp department (the manager cant say no to client requests because he wants to be promoted, he works 24/7, and if someone leaves the team he blames everything on them), but I recommend others. Otc, rtr or fpa were quite good, and when I was there they looked happy (before covid, after covid I didn't see many people in the office when I went) did you put 2 reviews to bash the review with different user, or you just told someone from the team to help you?
Dear Anonimous, the recencion has been cancelled because you cannot simply put the initial of the person since this is not correct true and legal (a separate action is ongoing to take the needed action for the same). Whatever you wrote using this useful tool is not true and it can be proved anytime GBS is an amazing environment and people, each departements but especially PtP, are really happy to work with.
I'm agree with the comments shared and GBS PtP Team is amazing! I left PtP few months ago for personal reasons but never had any problem especially with the manager who is always supportive, spending time with the people, defining clear goals and objectives and with a lot of experience, people like him a lot! Don't know who you're and I doubt you worked in PtP since we know each other and we're almost in touch, meeting from time to time nevertheless if you left any company for any reason don't spend your time writing something which is not correct, this is simply ridicoulus, never seen someone leaving the company (if it's true) doing something similar.
