Sii Polska nie planuje zakupu udziałów klubu piłkarskiego Polonia Warszawa. Trwają negocjacje dotyczące możliwej inwestycji w klub przez naszego CEO i założyciela Grégoire Nitot jako osoby prywatnej, ale żadne decyzje nie zostały podjęte, w związku z czym nie będziemy szerzej komentować tego tematu.
Tak Grégoire Nitot poinformował o tym wszystkich pracowników:
"Dear Sii colleagues,
A few people contacted me, informing that they read articles online that Sii will buy Polonia Warszawa football Club. They asked me if it is true (some told me it is a big problem, because support Legia Warszawa! Some Legia fans destroyed Sii reputation on some social media after this news was published yesterday).
It is fake news. Sii will never buy Polonia Warszawa.
I may perhaps invest personally in this historical Club (it is the oldest football Club in Warsaw, but currently in 3rd Polish League, with dramatic financial situation, close to bankruptcy) and become the main shareholder? But nothing is decided yet. No contracts are signed for the moment & I am still not sure current shareholders will accept my conditions.
If it happens, I’ll try to save this Club.
• It is an exciting long-term project to make it come back to Ekstraklasa in coming 10 years, then win the UEFA Champions League in 2035 against Bayern Munich, Juventus, Liverpool or Real Madrid in the final! (Just kidding... or dreaming too much!!??)
• My ambition would be also to root our Sii core values in Polish football (tough challenge).
Explanations : football is a passion, which causes strong emotions sometimes, but it’s a game. We may support 1 football Club, make jokes against our opponents, be angry or cry or when our team loses. But NO hate & NO fight against other club fans! Football never was and never will be like that for me, but the opposite – respect & fellowship with other fans, who support other clubs & the share same passion.
Therefore to me respect & friendship is key in relations with other football fans, no matter which Club they support, whether it’s Legia Warszawa, Lech Poznań, Cracovia, Wisła Kraków, Lechia Gdansk, Arka Gdynia, Widzew or ŁKS Łódź, Górnik Zabrze, Jagiellonia Białystok, Piast Gliwice, etc. When 1 of these Polish Clubs plays against another European city, I always support the Polish Club (apart from PSG, Club which has my heart since I was a kid!).
So I wish to root Sii values into Polish football : Respect, Team Spirit, Fellowship, Love & above all Fun!"
