As part of the service MAT Dania can provide technical supervision of engineering your cast iron solution. But before things get really technical we need intimate knowledge of your business and the challenge at hand. Thorough groundwork and optimization of the component’s shape and design are essential for getting it right the first time.
As a complement to the design and engineering process MAT Dania uses the latest software for simulation of mold filling and solidification to ensure optimal casting quality.

Our specialties are machine-moulded components in nodular and grey iron, with a casting weight of 0.5 kg – 65 kg, and complex castings, all delivered with superior and pressure-proof quality, and on time, every time. Additionally we can supply machining solutions to all castings in above dimension and complexity – delivered straight to the customer’s assembly line.

Pattern Equipment
Patterns, tools and fixtures are engineered by MAT Dania and manufactured and assembled at our own pattern shop.

To optimize customers “Time to Market prototyping” pattern equipment, tools and fixtures can be provided by MAT DANIA. The opportunity to use 3D printed cores give full flexibility in the design and engineering process.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Dania supplies machine moulded components in grey iron and nodular iron with weights from 0.5 to 60 kg, preferably complex and core intensive castings.
Machining allowances
The normal machining allowances on all items are minimum 2,5 mm.
MAT Dania manufactures series produced castings on
- 2 Disamatic 2013 (flask size 600 x 480 mm)
- 1 HWS Seiatsu-system (mould size 750 x 550 x (300/300) mm)
Casting tolerances
For machine casting the tolerances are as specified in ISO 8062 CT8 – CT10.
Mismatch and shrinkage allowance are included in the tolerances.
Machining allowances

Pattern draft specification
Drafts are not included in the casting tolerances. Important to specify where the draft shall be located in relation to the drawing dimensions.
