About the project

As an Advanced Product and Solution Owner you will work with Project / Scrum teams to facilitate and / or lead product or solution development planning, execution and delivery. You will work across the product / solution lifecycle to ensure understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements, customer expectations, business value and release objectives. In this role you will serve as the primary link between customers, project / scrum teams and other relevant stakeholders. You will ensure ongoing and open communication between all stakeholders, manage change and drive processes to ensure iterations remain current with evolving expectations and requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • Serve as product or solution owner for two or more product development teams handling large / complex product areas.
  • Liaise between stakeholders and teams, ensuring stakeholder buy-in on all major decisions and driving team processes to ensure achievement of stakeholder priorities.
  • Capture and communicate team progress against plan, managing changes and ensuring ongoing alignment with evolving business plans.
  • Demonstrate a depth of knowledge with focus on world-class delivery and quality for release planning and defect management.
  • Prioritize and manage backlog and implementation, ensuring product or solution execution meets product or solution strategy, performance, user, nonfunctional / platform and company / business / financial requirements.
  • Lead processes to refine features into user stories and story acceptance criteria.
  • Co-work closely with development teams to ensure implementation as planned and sync on backlog and development execution in relevant sessions such as sprint reviews and demo's.
  • Define and (further) develop the Retail Software localization portfolio, requirements and use cases.
  • Identify clients’ business and technical needs specific to fiscal and regulatory requirements in different countries across the world and translate them into product localization packages by describing criteria, user stories and generate relevant specifications to initiate and drive development.

Our requirements

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in a CS, IT, Mathematics or related field.
  • Proven experience and excellent understanding of regulatory and fiscal aspects such as anti-money laundering cash limits for retailers, fiscalization, taxes / tax exemptions, invoice rules and the ability preferably to introduce on a large scale and to global projects.
  • Experience on requested domain in the retail and fuel & convenience industry is a pre.
  • Understanding and application of strategic business and retail experience to help drive business decisions, manages requirement engineering with business acumen.
  • Knowledge of or experience in API Product Management/ownership, ideally with building SaaS-based platforms, App extension frameworks and API-based software platforms/products would be a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization – senior management, team members, peers, and partners.
