Tvilum is one of the world's largest manufacturers of flat-packed furniture. It has four factories which produce 8 million items of furniture annually, for sale around the globe through our many dealers. Its factories and administration are placed locally in Denmark.
Tvilum has undergone a number of mergers since it was founded in 1965, which have driven the company into its current leading international position.
The family-owned company sold 60% of its share capital to Axcel Industriinvestor in 1996. Tvilum was acquired by Masco Corporation in 2000 - one of the world's leading suppliers of home improvement and construction products. In 2013 Tvilum was acquired by Revolution Capital Group. In 2018, Tvilum was acquired by a Danish investor group consisting of Viking Trading ApS, Kristiansen Properties and CEO Torben Porsholdt.
Tvilum currently produces flat-packed furniture for all areas of the home, in various styles and designs to match customers' individual requirements. Tvilum also began selling products from other manufacturers in 2011, in order to be able to offer customers a complete range of lounge and dining room furnishings.
