My experience at Nijhuis has been positive so far. The company offers many possibilities to develop, discover different engineering fields and create new connections. The place is very international, what creates a chance to get familiar with other cultures or improve foreign languages. If we face any problem which we are not able solve with someone local we can always contact other experienced people from our main office and get support. I am positive that at least a part management is very human, open-minded, and understanding. I highly disagree with the opinions about Spanish speakers being treated differently. The position and benefits here do not depend on the language. If any Spanish speaker get any benefit, I am sure the reason is their work, talent and previous engineering experience – the same as for polish or any other nationality. Additionally, I believe that If any employee feels like someone is getting a preferential treatment then the solution is to go and have a honest, human conversation with their manager instead of complaining on the anonymous webpage. Due to the fact that company is under fast development I agree there appear organization issues, however from my observation the management is doing a good job to improve it and ensure the future of the company is going forward the proper direction.

It's apparent that you either have no idea about the real issues or deliberately choose to turn a blind eye to them. While you praise the company for offering opportunities for development, the reality is that most of these "possibilities" are just empty promises. The management loves to dangle the carrot of growth and improvement in front of employees but rarely follows through. The lack of concrete actions to support professional development speaks volumes about the company's true intentions. Your claim that Nijhuis is an international and diverse workplace is laughable. Sure, there might be people from different cultures, but how many of them hold influential positions? I bet you'll find that the majority of top positions are held by a select few, and you can easily guess which nationality they belong to. And let's not even get started on the language issue. It's evident that Spanish speakers get preferential treatment. Those who cozy up to the engineering manager are treated like royalty, while the rest of us struggle to get a fair chance. Your naïve belief that benefits and positions are based solely on merit is just delusional. The truth is that favoritism runs rampant, and it's clear that certain nationalities have an advantage. As for your suggestion to have an honest conversation with the manager, you must be living in a utopian dream. The management doesn't care about the concerns of ordinary employees; they only care about maintaining their little power circle. Bringing up any issues will only put a target on your back, and your career at Nijhuis will be on shaky ground. The so-called "fast development" you mention is nothing more than a façade. The organization issues are not just some temporary hiccups; they are deeply rooted and show the incompetence of the management. Promises to improve the company's future are just empty words without any real action to back them up. In conclusion, your positive perception of Nijhuis is far from the reality that the majority of employees face daily. The company's culture is toxic, and the management's disregard for the concerns of its workforce is alarming. Unless you are part of the privileged few, your experience at Nijhuis will be nothing short of disappointing.

I worked at this company for a while, and sadly, my experience wasn’t great. Before my contract ended, I asked many times about getting a new one. The management told me not to worry, so I thought everything would be okay. But when my contract ended, there was no talk about a new one, and I was left without a job. While working there, I never felt completely safe. There was always some uncertainty, and the management didn’t communicate clearly about important things. I still talk to some of the employees, and it seems like the low morale is still an issue. Many of them don’t feel secure or valued. Overall, I think this company needs to do a better job in supporting and communicating with their employees, especially when it comes to contracts and job security.

Cóż, muszę powiedzieć, że sytuacja w naszej firmie w ostatnich latach w kwestii zaangażowania pracowników jest dość niepokojąca. Wydaje się, że nasze działania ograniczają się do absolutnego minimum. Od dwóch lat nie organizujemy żadnych wyjazdów integracyjnych, które wcześniej stanowiły doskonałą okazję do wzmacniania więzi między zespołami. Przed rokiem mieliśmy przynajmniej jedno spotkanie plenerowe z grillem, ale teraz nawet to nam zostało odebrane. Wygląda na to, że im więcej osób zajmuje się obszarem zasobów ludzkich, tym mniej się dzieje. Jedyne, co ostatnio zauważyłem, to mało udana inicjatywa związana z HR-em. Możliwość zakupienia własnego biletu na pociąg nie przekonuje mnie dość. To naprawdę niewiele w porównaniu do tego, co mieliśmy wcześniej. Wydaje się, że priorytety firmy przesunęły się w innym kierunku, a pracownicy stali się jedynie liczbami w systemie. Jako inżynier z doświadczeniem oczekuję więcej od mojego miejsca pracy. Uważam, że regularne wyjazdy integracyjne, spotkania plenerowe czy chociażby małe gesty docenienia byłyby ważne dla utrzymania atmosfery motywacji i zaangażowania w zespole. Po prostu brakuje nam okazji do zacieśnienia więzi między pracownikami i wspólnego odpoczynku po ciężkiej pracy. Wierzę, że firma powinna zrozumieć, że inwestowanie w ludzi jest kluczowe dla sukcesu organizacji. Wydaje się, że HR nie jest obecnie w centrum uwagi, a to z pewnością wpływa na morale i motywację całego zespołu. Mam nadzieję, że wkrótce zostaną podjęte działania mające na celu naprawę tej sytuacji i przywrócenie zainteresowania pracownikami na właściwy poziom.

Working as a foreigner in Nijhuis, I didn't feel appreciated and didn't have many chances to grow. The atmosphere wasn't positive, and I couldn't see any room for personal or professional development. One of the biggest problems with Nijhuis is the lack of opportunities to learn and improve. I wanted to develop my skills and advance my career, but the company didn't prioritize employee growth. They offered very few low quality internal training programs and didn't provide much support to help us move forward. Without proper guidance and mentorship, it was difficult to expand my skills and move up within the company. The company culture was also disappointing. Even though it was an international company, I felt isolated and unappreciated as a foreign employee. They didn't make an effort to embrace our diverse backgrounds and experiences. All actions regarding inclusiveness were forced by the Team, not by the Leaders. Communication was another issue. Important decisions were often made without consulting or informing the employees who would be affected. This caused confusion and made us feel disconnected from the company's goals. There weren't many opportunities for open dialogue or feedback, which made me feel like my opinion didn't matter. Nijhuis didn't do a good job of recognizing and appreciating their employees' efforts. There wasn't a good system in place to acknowledge hard work and contributions. This lack of appreciation affected morale and motivation, creating a negative work environment where employees felt replaceable rather than valued. In conclusion, my experience as a foreign employee at Nijhuis was disappointing. They didn't create an inclusive environment, offer many growth opportunities, or appreciate their employees properly. Despite being an international company, they need to address these issues to truly support their diverse workforce and promote personal and collective growth.

I'm really unhappy with how things are at our company. People have too much work and there are no clear rules. It's overwhelming and exhausting. We need clear guidelines and processes to improve the situation. Our well-being is suffering, both mentally and physically. We should prioritize work-life balance and create a supportive environment.
