About the project
For our global client in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Practitioner to join a strategic, enterprise-scale data transformation initiative.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing and delivering modern data platforms that support business-critical processes. You will be responsible for architecting scalable data solutions, driving technical excellence, and contributing to the long-term data strategy within a highly collaborative, international environment.
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement large-scale data engineering solutions and enterprise data architectures.
- Build and optimize scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and advanced ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Ensure the scalability, security, resilience, and performance of critical data platforms.
- Troubleshoot complex data processing and performance challenges across distributed systems.
- Drive technical standards and best practices within the engineering team.
- Mentor and support other engineers, fostering technical excellence across the organization.
- Collaborate with architects, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to define and execute the organization's data strategy.
- Contribute to data governance initiatives and the continuous evolution of the enterprise data ecosystem.
Our requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Extensive experience with database technologies and ETL/ELT development.
- Strong knowledge of distributed data systems and Big Data technologies.
- Experience designing scalable data warehouses and data lakes.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex performance and scalability issues.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and data governance.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Scrum Master experience.
