About the project
We are looking for an experienced Senior Modern Workplace & Endpoint Transformation Architect to join a large-scale enterprise transformation and migration project.
The role focuses on analyzing and assessing the existing workplace and client environment, defining the target architecture, and driving the end-to-end design and migration of the modern workplace landscape.
You will work closely with the IT Migration Architect and multiple internal and external stakeholders to design and implement the future workplace environment across Microsoft 365, Teams, Intune, Autopilot, Windows Client, virtualization/VDI, collaboration, and endpoint security.
This is a senior-level role combining strong technical architecture expertise with migration delivery, stakeholder management, governance, and coordination across a complex multi-provider environment.
The successful candidate will support the transition into operations until successful service handover and provide advisory input regarding workplace standards, technology roadmap, and lifecycle management.
Your responsibilities
- Analyze and assess the existing workplace, endpoint, and client IT environment.
- Define and design the target Modern Workplace architecture and related technical concepts.
- Create architecture documentation, technical concepts, migration plans, and implementation guidelines.
- Drive the end-to-end workplace transformation and migration in cooperation with the IT Migration Architect.
- Design solutions across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Autopilot, Windows Client, virtualization/VDI, collaboration, and endpoint security.
- Coordinate technical dependencies and connected systems throughout the migration process.
- Support the planning and execution of testing activities and ensure migration quality.
- Manage technical risks, issues, changes, and dependencies.
- Coordinate and align activities across up to four service providers and technical teams.
- Facilitate meetings, technical discussions, and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure effective stakeholder communication, reporting, and project documentation.
- Support the transition of the new workplace environment into operations.
- Drive successful service handover and operational readiness.
- Provide advisory input on Modern Workplace standards, technology roadmaps, architecture principles, and lifecycle topics.
- Prepare final architecture documentation, project reports, and handover materials.
Our requirements
- Hands-on and architectural knowledge of: Microsoft 365 Microsoft Teams Microsoft Intune Windows Autopilot Windows Client Endpoint Management Virtualization / VDI Collaboration technologies Endpoint Security
- Extensive experience as a Modern Workplace Architect, Workplace Architect, EUC Architect, Endpoint Architect, or similar senior technical role.
- Strong expertise in Modern Workplace and Client IT architecture.
- Proven experience in large-scale enterprise transformation and migration projects.
- Experience designing and implementing target workplace architectures.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT operations and service transition.
- Experience working in complex, multi-site IT environments.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple service providers and technical teams.
- Strong architecture methodology and ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable target solutions.
- Experience with risk management, quality management, change management, and dependency management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience leading technical workshops and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and drive complex topics from assessment and architecture design through migration and operational handover.
