About the project
The role is part of a long-term initiative focused on the development and enhancement of the analytics platform used in a financial markets (FM) environment. The system supports high-performance analytical processing for trading activities and quantitative research.
The project is delivered in close cooperation with trading desks and quantitative development teams. The environment is strongly regulated, with strict adherence to compliance, risk management, governance, and banking regulations.
This is a purely technical, non-managerial role with no team leadership or direct reports.
Your responsibilities
- Development and continuous enhancement of the high-performance analytics platform
- Implementation of software components in C++ and Haskell
- Execution of development tasks under semi-guided supervision
- Collaboration with Core engineering team on long-term platform evolution
- Delivery of efficient, stable, and high-performance software solutions
- Participation in technical discussions with traders and quantitative developers
- Contribution to system improvements in terms of performance, reliability, and maintainability
Our requirements
- Student (minimum 3rd year) in Computer Science or related technical field
- Solid understanding of core computer science concepts: algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity
- Strong willingness to learn functional programming, with emphasis on Haskell
- Practical knowledge of at least one programming language from the following: Haskell, C++, Agda, Clojure, F#, PureScript
- Mandatory: working knowledge of C++
- Ability to work in a structured, regulated environment (financial services / banking context is a plus)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Readiness to work on high-performance, low-latency systems
- Industry: Financial Markets / Trading Systems
- Technology stack: C++, Haskell
- Work type: Development role (no management responsibilities)

- Strong emphasis on code quality, performance, and system stability
