About the project
We are looking for an experienced COINS ERP Integration Expert to join a long-term project for a large international company operating in the construction industry.
The role focuses on developing and integrating COINS (Construction Industry Solutions) with CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) processes. We are looking for someone who combines strong COINS expertise, construction commercial and accounting knowledge, and advanced API/integration skills.
This is a highly niche position, so hands-on experience with COINS is essential. The client is specifically looking for an expert who can contribute from day one rather than someone willing to learn the system.
Your responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining integrations between COINS ERP and CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) processes.
- Designing and developing COINS Custom APIs using Progress OpenEdge ABL.
- Working with COINS data structures, application datasets, tables and schemas.
- Mapping COINS data lineage and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Designing and implementing APIs following modern integration principles.
- Working with JSON payloads, HTTP methods and API protocols.
- Supporting API testing, error handling, versioning, pagination and filtering.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand construction commercial and financial processes.
- Applying your knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, valuations, retentions and variations to develop appropriate ERP integrations.
- Working alongside an internal employee with COINS knowledge and acting as the COINS subject-matter expert for the integration work.
Our requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience working with and developing on COINS ERP – this is essential, as the client is not looking for someone willing to learn COINS on the job.
- Advanced knowledge of COINS functionalities and modules, application datasets, tables, schemas and data lineage mapping.
- Strong experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL (Advanced Business Language) and T-SQL.
- Advanced knowledge of Progress Page Designer.
- Strong understanding of API and integration development, including HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE), JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger, API versioning, pagination, filtering, error handling and testing.
- Good understanding of data formats, protocols and API design principles.
- Experience with construction technical accounting, including job costing, construction financial practices, subcontractor accounting, CVR and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of construction commercial processes, particularly valuations, retentions and variations.
- Experience combining ERP, API/integration and construction business knowledge to deliver practical technical solutions.
