I was groped by a man as I walked out of the bathroom. When I told him to get away from me, he immediately went to fetch the owner, a younger man who looked completely out of his depth. Neither of them asked what happened. They didn’t want to know. Instead, they told me to leave, while the older man repeated, “You messed with the wrong person,” as if he hadn’t just crossed a boundary.
The message was obvious: people connected to the owner believe they can touch whoever they want and face no consequences. Their entitlement is blatant. The fact that they tried to remove me for refusing to tolerate it says everything about the kind of establishment they’re running — one where the aggressor is protected and the victim is dismissed without a second thought.
