I ´m writing to apply for the position of English Teacher. My name is Fernanda Torre, I´m Portuguese and a native-like speaker since I graduated from Lisbon University in English and German Languages and Literature. I also have a postgraduate academic qualification - Master's Degree - in Educational Sciences.
I´ve been teaching English and German for 40 years in Portugal. Now, I´ve asked for my anticipated retirement in order to teach abroad and complete my career in a foreign country.
I 'm definitely choosing Poland for a couple of reasons so we can develop it further in a potential interview.
I´ve always been punctual and professional during my entire career and I have quite a wide flexibility in my teaching hours: it means I 'm available to work in the morning, afternoon and evening hours.
I have always performed my duties with zeal and professionalism, I have shown great competence and a strong sense of responsibility and a good personal and professional conduct.
Throughout my 40-year career in Education, I have developed a great ability to work both with students and with my peers.
Both the teaching methodology and the classroom environment are crucial for teaching as well as for effective learning and I possess that natural leadership quality that enables me to give energy to my lessons. I´ve always been able to motivate and inspire my students to learn.
I´m travelling to Poland in August and I´m ready to begin working in late August or early September. Nevertheless, my plans may depend on the contract offered.
As I am a EU citizen, schools don't have to deal with any Visa process and I consider this fact an advantage, too.
