Your responsibilities

  • Evaluate M&A opportunities and prospective targets, including strategic fit, financial attractiveness, key risks and potential value creation.
  • Build valuation models, ROI analyses, business cases, scenario models and sensitivity analyses to support transaction, partnership and investment decisions.
  • Develop business models for cooperation with strategic partners and M&A targets, including joint ventures, equity partnerships, licensing, joint product development and other structures beyond a standard buyer-supplier relationship.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and strategic market analysis, comparing business models, product portfolios, market positioning, partnerships, capabilities and growth directions.
  • Review financial due diligence materials and other diligence outputs and support due diligence and audit-related analysis by identifying risks, opportunities, inconsistencies and open questions for leadership.
  • Support transaction workstreams, including analytical preparation for management discussions, coordination of Q&A and data-room inputs, and cooperation with external advisors.
  • Provide analytical support to company strategy, Business Development and strategic stakeholder engagement by preparing data, business rationale and cooperation models for discussions with partners and institutional stakeholders.
  • Support post-transaction integration by helping define the integration plan, governance, milestones, KPIs, synergies and reporting, and by coordinating follow-up across functions.
  • Build and challenge business cases for new products, product variants and major development investments, including development cost, unit economics, pricing, volumes, margins, cash flow, payback and return metrics.
  • Partner with product, business development, finance, engineering and operations teams to compare growth paths such as build, partner, buy, acquire and JV, translate technical and market assumptions into financial models, and track performance against approved business cases.

Our requirements

  • Higher education, preferably in finance, economics, business, management, mathematics or another quantitative field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, transaction advisory / corporate finance, transaction services, strategy or business analysis.
  • Direct exposure to financial due diligence and the ability to identify the issues that matter for an investment decision.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, including valuation, ROI, NPV / IRR, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis and business-case construction.
  • Good understanding of financial statements and the ability to connect financial data with operational, commercial and technical assumptions.
  • Experience building or evaluating business cases for strategic, investment, partnership or product decisions.
  • Very good Excel and PowerPoint skills, or equivalent analytical and presentation tools.
  • Strong written and spoken English for work with external partners and transaction materials.
  • Independent, structured and proactive working style, strong analytical judgement and comfort operating with incomplete information and ambiguity.
  • Experience in hardware / hardtech, aerospace, defence or the space sector.
  • Background in M&A advisory, transaction services or strategy consulting, including Big 4 or a specialist boutique.
  • Hands-on experience leading or supporting post-merger integration, synergy tracking or a 100-day plan.
  • Experience with product strategy, pricing, portfolio management, competitor benchmarking or the economics of technology products.
  • Experience with strategic partnerships, joint ventures or other non-standard cooperation models; familiarity with publicly funded environments such as ESA, the European Commission, NCBR or Horizon Europe is also valuable.

We are looking for a Corporate Development Specialist to join our Space Products & Pricing Department. This is a hybrid role combining M&A and corporate development work with the financial and business-case analysis behind product strategy. You will support opportunities end-to-end, from initial screening and valuation through due diligence and transaction execution to post-acquisition integration. You will also help develop business models for strategic partnerships, joint ventures and other forms of cooperation that go beyond a traditional buyer-supplier relationship and provide the competitive and strategic analysis behind our growth and product decisions.
