As a Powertrain NVH CAE Engineer with Altran, you will be fundamental to our ability to deliver successful projects to our customers and clients. Our customer expectations are high; as such we are looking for adaptive driven people to deliver on time to required quality.

You will possess creative problem-solving skills in a team environment and comfortable with communicating clearly and efficiently throughout varying levels of both the customer and Altran businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct NVH CAE analyses to compute powertrain and engine vibrational and acoustic responses using the finite element and boundary element methods.
  • Work with design & release engineers and suppliers to implement improvements and to confirm that the design meets the NVH targets while satisfying function and cost targets.
  • Lead CAE project reviews and presentations as well as actively participating in engine design reviews.

Skills and qualifications: 

  • Experience in structural dynamics FEA
  • Solid understanding of Structural Dynamics FEA
  • Noise prediction tools such as Virtual Lab
  • Proficient in structural optimization (sizing and topology)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with proven presentation experience.

Salary - £30,000 to £50,000
